He tied his boat off and started to climb the cliffs. He knew that no one had lived to tell what was behind the cloud, but he still climbed. As he climbed he felt his body getting lighter and lighter, and the climb got easier and easier. “What on earth is going on” he though to himself. On and on he climbed until he started to hear a faint sound coming from above him. He stopped to listen and realised that it was the sound of music and laughter and cheering! He started to wonder (as he started climbing again), did everyone really die or did they find a place so wonderful that they never wanted to return? This thought removed all doubt from his mind that he should keep climbing up through the cloud, instead of turning around and going home. A little more climbing and he broke through the cloud and was overcome by a sudden blast of heat. At that moment he discovered why nobody had ever returned. The cloud and the happy noises were the bait for a particularly nasty trap.
